This simple act, repeated daily for as little as 10 minutes, improves parenting and bestows on the child the gifts of love, language, creativity and a promising future. Our Mission

We plan to serve 5,000,000 families in addition to visitors to the Jefferson Building, believing that through collaboration we can bring hope and new capacity to those children and parents in need of a nurturing experience that will result in personal and family growth and development. We serve our nation without discrimination, and strive to provide the highest quality service based on the latest technology and best practices.

We seek to be attentive and responsive to the 5,000,000 families and their children we will serve by understanding their needs and providing ways for parents to directly enhance their children’s growth and development through Reading Aloud.

We are attentive to and recognize, respect and solicit and support the dignity of each person in the communities we serve.
