About Read it LOUD!
The Read it LOUD! Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(C))(3) with the purpose of supporting campaigns nationwide to encourage parents to read aloud to their children for at least ten minutes per day. Working nationally, the foundation’s sole purpose is to have over 5,000,000 parents reading aloud to their children each day, creating a supporting, nurturing, and caring home and community environments. Our intent is to campaign, build, and sustain 90 community campaigns throughout the nation devoted to reading aloud to children over the next five years.
Our approach is to conduct lectures, seminars, and symposiums, with and through community leaders and community based organizations, to stimulate and galvanize local resources and participation to sustain an awareness campaign that highlights the importance, values and benefits of reading aloud to children from birth to 6 years old.
